Do you only take business head-shots?

Definitely not. I also take portraits and lifestyle images, including custom photos for your blog, website or for your mantelpiece at home!  Clients often ask me to create an image that will do a specific job. That might mean using a particular prop or location, or a photo that illustrates a call to action for a marketing piece. You might need something with a big blank space where you can add a heading or a piece of sales copy.

What do I need to bring to my photo shoot?

All you need to bring is your outfits, accessories, or props, if you want to use them, and your lovely self!  We’ll discuss all of this in detail before your shoot.

Do you include make-up and hair styling?

No. I keep a list of my favourite hair and make-up artists- the people who I’m happy to recommend. Or, you might prefer to use someone you already know and trust, or, if you are a dab hand with the eyeliner, you might want to do your own styling. This will also depend on the look you’re going for  – red carpet glamour or natural beauty? Let’s discuss this during the preparation stage.

Can I have my pictures taken outdoors?

I do a lot of my work on location and we’ll discuss options for your shoot during the planning stage. Whether you’re interested in having your photos taken in a beautiful meadow, at a local coffee shop, your own kitchen or on the beach, my goal is to give you portraits that truly reflect the essence of your business brand.

How do I pay for my photo session?

You pay a deposit to book your shoot. The remaining fee is due at least 24 hours before your photo session. I can accept bank transfers and credit/debit card.

How soon after I’ve viewed the gallery do I receive the final retouched images?

Usually one to two weeks.

How far in advance do I need to book?

Ideally you should allow 6-8 weeks from when you pick up the phone to when you need your photos to be ready, this way I can make sure that you get exactly what you want. But, if you’ve got a rush deadline, I’d still love to hear from you, there’s often a way I can fit you in!

How long will my photo shoot take?

This will depend on the type of shoot you go for. I can do a snappy 60-minute head-shot session, or half-day and bespoke lifestyle and portrait sessions. To be honest, the longer we spend together, the more pictures you’ll get in your gallery, AND the more likely you are to get exactly the image you’ve imagined in your head before we work together.

How many ‘looks‘ or outfit changes do I get?

You’re guaranteed one change of clothes during a 60-minute headshot session, more for a lifestyle shoot. I don’t put a limit on the number of outfit changes you can make. I’ll do my best to give you as much variety as possible during your shoot.

What’s your cancellation policy?

I take a 50% non-refundable deposit in advance. I am always happy to reschedule a photo shoot if you give me at least 48 hours’ notice that you need to postpone.  Any fees to hire a venue are also payable upfront. The terms and conditions applied by the venue will mean that this may or may not result in a cancellation fee.

How soon after the shoot do I get to see the pictures?

It will take me about two/three weeks to get your pictures ready for viewing.  I’ll email you a link to your own private viewing gallery so that you can choose your favourite shots.

Will you travel?

Yes. There is no additional charge for working on location within 20 miles of my home (RH17).  I add mileage charges when I travel further afield for Business Head-shot Photographs.  Travel is included the Day in the Life and Business Biography Sessions.  If you’re interested in working together in the city, or any another location, send me a message so we can discuss it.
